A collection of paintings by world-renowned Chinese artist Han Meilin, which were originally commissioned to appear on postage stamps and philatelic commemoratives. Best recognized today for his creation of the Fuwa dolls for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Han Meilin was born in 1936 in Jinan, Shandong Province. He graduated in 1960 from the People's Republic of China's Central Institute of Arts and Crafts. In addition to designing China International Airline's phoenix logo, Meilin designed four Panda stamps and one Year of the Pig stamp for China's Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications.
