Description
One of the premier patrol and reconnaissance aircraft of all time, Lockheed's P2V-7 Neptune served the nation for more than three decades. During Vietnam, the Neptune was used for intelligence work along the coastlines, virtually eliminating the need for ship patrol.
This painting was originally commissioned to illustrate the Republic of the Marshall Islands 33¢ P2V-7 Neptune stamp issued June 1, 1999.
