Suzhou Gardens I - Brown Tones metal print by Sun Chuanzhe. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
Celebrated Chinese artist Sun Chuanzhe (1915-1995) was born in Ningbo City, Zhejiang, in China. Sun is known as "the first person who designed stamps in the People’s Republic of China". During more than 40 years of stamp design work, he designed or participated in the design of 153 sets of stamps, including "Founding of the People's Republic of China", "Mei Lanfang Stage Art", "Ancient Chinese Scientists", "Huangshan Landscape", "Goldfish", “Panda", and "Golden Monkey”. Of the 30 stamp sets selected in 1980 as the best stamps since the founding of the People's Republic of China, 11 sets were designed by Sun Chuanzhe.
